[PS001] Torsion – Raindrops

Release Details

I can picture myself there watching the lapping waters, each catching the sunlight, making for a million reflections for as far as the eye can see. Torsion celebrates the explosions of brilliance that
the world makes around us– but humbly keeps low key. We get so caught up in our busy lives that we often overlook the magnificent, the profound and the proof that their is an inevitability that we ignore in our minds.

This world… this universe is more vast and significant than anything we do at our jobs, in our pursuits of wealth, and in our zest for personal superiority above others. All of this is meaningless beyond
our own horizons. Silently, nature carries silently on in what is truly real and important without much heed to us. The inevitable will catch up with us eventually anyway.

Torsion makes it quite clear in this wonderful work.

Andrew Bell, regarding “Sundrops on the Ocean”

“Raindrops” is the result of the first carefully planned release by Torsion. The concept behind it was to create a release that could be listened to while travelling in its widest meaning.

The appearance of a track with lyrics (Raindrops on the Sun) was the result of many insistence by the people around Torsion, that regard themselves as a music only project. For the good. The track is proving  to be an immediate success with many requests to be remixed by dark metal bands. All of these requests have been refused.

Special attention has to go “14 days in History”, a purely conceptual piece that was 14 layers, composed over 14 consecutive days.

Torsion presents us with a beautiful release. We just can’t wait to listen to more.

UPDATE July 2007: “Raindrops” has now been downloaded more than 30.000 times and has appeared on the TOP 5 most downloaded albums at the Archive.org Thank you all for your support.
